Membership Recognition Tea & Memorial for Marianne Carton
At the Membership Tea, we honor members 25, 50, and 75 year anniversaries in AOII. This fall we will honor anyone with an anniversary in 2004-2005. By choosing a two year spread, it will allow people more than one opportunity to be honored given that everyone has scheduling conflicts at one time or another. Last fall we honored 2003 – 2004 anniversaries.

In addition, our beloved member, Marianne Carton, passed away this July. Marianne was not only a wonderful San Diego member but also served in such positions as International Ruby Fund Chair. We will pay tribute to her memory at this meeting

We will serve tea and light snack items. Mimi Mortenson will hostess the meeting in her house. Please RSVP to Danyte Mockus at vp@aoiisandiego.org.

Impromptu Event

San Diego Panhellenic Luncheon
Saturday, October 2, 2004
Registration 11:30 am, Luncheon 12 pm, Speaker 1pm

The program speaker will be Martha Ehringer from the Mingei International Museum. Martha will share with us the work of the museum, which is dedicated to furthering the understanding of art of all cultures of the world. The art shares a direct simplicity and reflects a joy in making, by hand, useful objects that are satisfying to the human spirit.
